He was sent to Jeremiah by king Zedekiah to enquire about Nebuchadrezzar. See Jer 38:1-5 (2nd Pashur in that verse): A prince in Jerusalem in the times of Zedekiah and Jeremiah. He "heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken" and then asked Zedekiah to kill Jeremiah because of the things he has said. |
